Texas State University professor Li Feng, Ph.D., will present findings from a major federally funded research project at a national education policy event hosted by the Brookings Institution later this month.

Feng, a professor of economics, will present in person at Supporting STEM Teachers: Insights from the Noyce Program, a forum organized by Brookings’ Brown Center on Education Policy in Washington, D.C. The event brings together researchers, policymakers and educators to examine strategies for strengthening the nation’s STEM teacher workforce.

The presentation will feature findings from a multi-year research project supported by an NSF Noyce collaborative grant totaling $1.2 million. The project examines how the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program supports the recruitment, preparation and retention of STEM teachers, particularly in high-need school districts.

At the Brookings event, Feng will share key insights from the study and discuss their implications for education policy and teacher preparation programs nationwide.

The panel discussion begins at 2 p.m. EST/1 p.m. CST on Monday, Feb. 23. Register to watch the discussion online on the Brookings Institution website. Online viewers may also submit questions via email to events@brookings.edu
