About the Newsroom
As a distinguished institution of higher education, Texas State University is a place where ideas are born and boundless curiosity captivates our community. The Newsroom, run by University Communications in the Division of Marketing and Communications, is the front door for communicating these ideas and activities to the public.

The Newsroom acts as the primary contact for all press inquiries and location filming requests for Texas State. In times of crisis, the Newsroom is one of several outlets the university uses to share information.
The Office of Media Relations manages daily media requests for information and faculty experts as well as generates media coverage to increase public awareness about the university’s outstanding students, faculty and premier programs.
