The Tomás Rivera Mexican American Children’s Book Award is marking its 30th anniversary on March 7 with a full day of family-friendly festivities in San Marcos.
Named in honor of acclaimed author and educator Tomás Rivera, a Texas State University alumnus, the award recognizes outstanding literature that authentically portrays the Mexican American experience.
