The video circulating on social media was recorded in June 2025. Texas State University officials learned of the video on May 4, 2026. The employee’s comments do not reflect the views, policies, or actions of the university.
Texas State has established review processes to ensure continued compliance with SB17. The university also conducts regular reviews of its curriculum and programs to ensure alignment with institutional standards and all state and federal laws.
The university's provost and Dean of the College of Liberal Arts are reviewing the matter related to the video.
