TXST to showcase programs and resources at San Marcos S.T.E.A.M. Career Exploration Fair

Texas State will showcase programs at the San Marcos S.T.E.A.M. Career Exploration Fair April 11, offering interactive exhibits, demos and career insights for students and families.

Texas State University is supporting the upcoming S.T.E.A.M. Career Exploration Fair, a community-wide event designed to inspire the next generation of innovators and connect students with real-world career pathways.

Hosted at San Marcos High School, 2601 Rattler Rd., the S.T.E.A.M. Career Exploration Fair will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event is open to students of all ages and their families, offering an engaging environment to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM). 

As a sponsor of this year’s fair, TXST will be represented by several campus organizations, showcasing the university’s commitment to hands-on learning, innovation and workforce development. Attendees can visit TXST booths to interact with faculty, staff and students, learn about academic programs, and discover pathways to STEAM careers.

The fair will feature interactive exhibits, live demonstrations and performances, along with opportunities to connect with local businesses and community partners. These experiences are designed to spark curiosity and help students better understand how classroom learning translates into meaningful careers. 

By participating in the S.T.E.A.M. Career Exploration Fair, TXST continues to strengthen its partnerships with local schools and organizations while supporting initiatives that prepare students for high-demand careers and a rapidly evolving workforce.

Community members are encouraged to attend and experience the interactive exhibits, connect with industry professionals, and explore the many possibilities within STEAM fields.
