A new issue of Hillviews Explores the 10-Year Campus Master Plan, Pac-12 Conference Move, and Research Breakthroughs

The Spring 2026 issue of Hillviews spotlights TXST’s 10-Year Campus Master Plan, the Bobcats’ move to the Pac-12, groundbreaking research, and alumni achievements shaping the university’s future.

Texas State University released the Spring 2026 issue of Hillviews magazine, providing readers with in-depth coverage of a new Campus Master Plan, Bobcat Athletics’ move to the Pac-12 Conference, and student and faculty research advances.

Available in print and online, Hillviews explores the 2025–2035 Campus Master Plan and its thoughtful approach to preparing for growth and elevating scholarship. Photography, illustrations, and architectural renderings enhance stories that explain the plan and how it also builds campus community and preserves natural landscapes.

The Spring 2026 issue arrives as the Bobcats prepare to join the upstart Pac-12 Conference this July. An interview with Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould sets the stage for this exciting new era, and colorful profiles introduce the Bobcats’ new conference rivals from across the West.

The new Hillviews also highlights fascinating new research taking place at TXST, covering topics from brain health to semiconductors, smart agriculture, geoarchaeology, and even Bob Dylan. In addition, the issue chronicles Taylor Sheridan’s donation of his creative archive to The Wittliff Collections—including a pilot script for Yellowstone—and the acquisition’s relevance to researchers.

As always, Hillviews shares the achievements of Bobcat alumni. In the new issue, Michael Nguyen, B.B.A. 2024, pens an entertaining account of his post-graduation global journey, including meeting with more than 15 TXST alums in far-flung places around the world. The issue also features Class Notes and profiles of the TXST Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni honorees.
