Held the night before the Bobcat football team’s first home game of the season against the UTSA Roadrunners, the centerpiece of the block party will be a 7 p.m. spirit rally featuring the Bobcat Cheerleaders, the Strutters, mascots Boko and Koko along with the Bobcat Marching Band.

The Stargazers, fusing the easy-listening sounds of yacht rock with the grit of Americana, will perform 7:30-8:30 p.m. At 8:30 p.m. the Austin-based band Bartly, fronted by American Idol-veteran D.J. Bartly, will take the stage.

The block party will also feature more than 20 vendors, games with prizes along with food and drinks available for purchase onsite. Guests may enter through Zelicks on Hopkins and also at North Street and Hutchison.

The block party is sponsored by TXST, Zelicks and the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce. For more information, visit https://sanmarcostexas.com/back-the-bobcats/.
