The Leadership and Service area within Student Involvement and Engagement at Texas State University will host a Service Saturday: Bobcats Give Back trip to Kerrville Sept. 12-13.
Approximately 30 TXST student volunteers will travel to Kerrville for the weekend project in response to the aftermath of the devastating July flooding. The Bobcat volunteers will travel together to provide direct assistance to the communities impacted by the disaster.
The TXST student group will partner with Texans on Mission to work in residential areas that were hard-hit by flooding. Whether it’s debris cleanup, rebuilding support or community-centered outreach, this immersive service experience offers students the opportunity to make a meaningful impact where it’s most needed — all while deepening their understanding of disaster relief, rural recovery and the power of community care.
All transportation, lodging, meals and supplies are provided at no cost to the student volunteers.
