Multimedia student project captures voices of Uvalde victims’ families
Four Texas State University multimedia journalism students accepted the difficult task of interviewing family members who lost loved ones during the Robb Elementary School shooting and reporting their stories.
The students captured their reporting on various platforms – written story, audio and video reports, photography and graphics. Texas Standard ran the entire five-story audio series, and other media outlets including the Austin American Statesman ran select stories as well. Eraldo “Dino” Chiecchi, a Texas State associate professor of practice, coordinated the coverage.
