TXST Round Rock launches first industry partnership with Think Group

Through the collaboration, Think Group will actively engage in initiatives such as internships, shadowing days, company expo events and skills-building workshops.

Texas State University’s Round Rock Campus has announced its first strategic industry partnership with Think Group, a leading marketing research firm based in Austin.

The partnership symbolizes the campus’s dedication to bridging academia and industry by offering students meaningful professional experiences. The pairing aims to enhance student career readiness, expand experiential learning opportunities and foster stronger connections between higher education and industry leaders.

“We are excited to support Texas State students and contribute to their professional development,” said Selicia Sanchez-Adame, CEO of Think Group. “It's a chance to share valuable industry knowledge, help prepare students for successful careers and strengthen connections between education and the broader community.”

Through the collaboration, Think Group will actively engage in initiatives such as internships, shadowing days, company expo events, skills-building workshops and participation in career fairs, helping shape future student success initiatives and contributing directly to the educational experience of students.

“This partnership with Think Group sets the stage for deeper connections between our students and the professional community, fostering practical learning experiences and career readiness,” said Julie Lessiter, Ed.D., vice president of TXST Round Rock. “It marks a significant milestone as our very first industry partnership, paving the way for many more collaborations. This is a particularly meaningful partnership as the CEO of Think Group is a TXST graduate – this is a fabulous way for her to give back to her alma mater and pay-it-forward to the next generation of Bobcat graduates.”

TXST Round Rock is actively seeking additional industry partners to expand this impactful initiative. Companies interested in collaborating are encouraged to reach out directly to Lessiter at TXST Round Rock.
