TXST to host Joint Annual Conference for professional geographers

Professional geographers from across the U.S. will convene at Texas State University  for three days of panel discussions, workshops, and poster presentations.

Texas State University will host the Joint Annual Conference for professional geographers Oct. 6-8. The event, which encompasses the Applied Geography Conference (AGX) and the Southwest Division of the American Association of Geographers, will be held in the LBJ Student Center. 

Professional geographers from across the U.S. will attend for three days of panel discussions, workshops, poster presentations and field trips. The regional GeoBowl tournament will be held Oct. 7 and feature teams of graduate and undergraduate geography students competing for the chance to advance to the national finals. The conference concludes with the annual awards banquet in the LBJ Student Center main ballroom the evening of Oct. 8.
