‘Wall Street Journal’ names Texas State among “Best U.S. Colleges” for 2025

Texas State University has been listed on the Wall Street Journal's Best U.S. Colleges annual ranking.

Texas State University has been named among the “Best U.S. Colleges” for 2024-2025 by the Wall Street Journal/College Pulse.

Texas State was included at No. 244 on the list. Princeton University came in at No. 1, followed by Babson University in second and Stanford University in third.

For the list, Wall Street Journal/College Pulse ranked colleges and universities in the U.S. based primarily on the potential for financial success following graduation. Questions evaluated schools in three categories—Student Outcomes (which counted for 70% of the final score), Survey Results and Diversity. A minimum of 50 survey responses from students and alumni were necessary for colleges to be eligible for ranking.
