TXST Round Rock Campus named ‘business of the year’ by Chamber of Commerce

The Round Rock Chamber of Commerce named Texas State University’s Round Rock Campus “Business of the Year” during the chamber’s 56th annual Business Awards celebration.
Kelly Damphousse, TXST president, along with Julie Lessiter, TXST Round Rock Campus vice president, accepted the award at the Feb. 7 event, which was held at Kalahari Resort and Conventions.
The annual Business Awards is Round Rock’s premier business event where the Chamber of Commerce celebrates its accomplishments and highlights the community’s most accomplished companies and leaders.
“We are immensely proud of the recognition bestowed upon Texas State University Round Rock by our community. In my six months here, I have experienced firsthand the warm embrace of this community, reflecting our shared commitment to providing affordable educational access across the higher education spectrum,” Lessiter said. “I’m particularly thrilled for our faculty and staff who work diligently to make this a great place to work and study; we’re looking forward to offering many more partnerships that serve this region.”
