In a strategic move set to strengthen our corporate and foundation collaborations, Texas State University's University Advancement Division proudly introduces three new dynamic leaders into its ranks.

The Corporate Engagement directors will launch a groundbreaking strategic corporate engagement program for Texas State University. The program will holistically align internal university stakeholders with a singular voice, resulting in immense expansion of activated industry relationships. Specifically, this investment in corporate engagement will boost opportunities with corporations to provide career services for students, support academic excellence, increase industry-sponsored research, and support initiatives across the university in the Run to R1. The director of Foundation Engagement will interact with private foundations for solicitations and proposal writing to further elevate student success and the university’s mission.

"These significant appointments will catapult our Run to R1, to achieve national research university status for Texas State,” said Brooks Hull, vice president of University Advancement. “With this powerhouse team, we're poised to revolutionize the corporate engagement and foundation space, driving unprecedented opportunities for our students, faculty, and the entire university community.”

Lauren Loper - director of Foundation Engagement and TXST alum

A passionate Texas State alum, Lauren Loper brings a wealth of experience in private foundation solicitations and proposal writing, having navigated the intricacies of educational and healthcare industries. Having managed a $300 million portfolio across four states, she is a force to be reckoned with in the world of competitive grants and foundation funding.

"Returning to my alma mater is a true honor,” Loper said. “Together, we're about to embark on a journey that will elevate student success and amplify the very essence of Texas State’s mission."

Alana McCloskey - director of Corporate Engagement

With over 15 years of honed skills in donor relations and project management, Alana McCloskey is a seasoned expert ready to fortify Texas State's corporate partnerships. Her strategic acumen and relationship-building skills are set to redefine how we engage with the corporate world.

"This is more than a role; it's a mission,” McCloskey said. “Together, we're opening doors to a future where our students are seamlessly connected with our corporate partners and primed for success.”.

Alanna Sarabia - director of Corporate Engagement and TXST alum

A familiar face and a dedicated board member of the Texas State Alumni Association, Alanna Sarabia is a dynamic force in media and community engagement and will boost our interactions with corporations. Her multifaceted experience at TEGNA and Sinclair Broadcast Group brings a fresh perspective to the division.

“Being part of this vibrant Bobcat community is a privilege,” Sarabia said. “Together, we're charting a course that will resonate far beyond our campus, amplifying Texas State's impact on a global scale."
