Acclaimed author Fernando A. Flores will hold a reading and book signing Friday, April 14, at Texas State University’s Katherine Anne Porter Literary Center.

The 7:30 p.m. event is free and open to the public. The KAP Literary Center is located at 508 W. Center St. in Kyle.

Flores is the author of the short story collections Valleyesque and Death to the Bullshit Artists of South Texas. His debut novel, Tears of the Trufflepig, was long-listed

for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize and named the best book of 2019 by Tor.com. His fiction has appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books Quarterly, American Short Fiction, Ploughshares, Frieze, Porter House Review, and elsewhere.

Flores was born in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and grew up in South Texas. He lives in Austin.
