U.S. News lists Texas State among Best National Universities for 2022-2023

Texas State University has been named among the Best National Universities for 2022-23 by U.S. News and World Report.

Texas State was included in the Nos. 331-440 ranking range on the list. Princeton University came in at No. 1, followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University.

In addition to the overall list, Texas State was also included at No. 123 for Top Performers in Social Mobility, No. 172 in Nursing, in the Nos. 169-227 ranking range for Top Public Schools and in the Nos. 196-212 ranking range for Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs.

Schools in the National Universities category offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus master's and Ph.D. programs. U.S. News surveyed 1,500 U.S. bachelor's degree-granting institutions on 17 measures of academic quality to compile the list.
