Dear Texas State University Community, 

I am shocked and saddened by yesterday’s violent events at our United States Capitol. Respect for our sacred democratic process and honoring the vote of the people is the foundation of our union. During these unsettling times, remember that even though we aren’t physically together, you are part of a strong and supportive Bobcat community.  

I want you to know that you are all in my thoughts today. Please take care of yourselves and others.
