Award-winning jazz group, Double Vision, headline Supple Music Series

The group is dedicated to transforming jazz into a vibrant, collaborative experience that inspires and connects audiences around the globe. 

The award-winning jazz group Double Vision will headline the Supple Music Series at Texas State University March 31. 

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Preforming Arts Center Recital Hall.

The quartet is known for its modern jazz that pushes the boundaries of contemporary music. Hank Hehmsoth and John Mills, the co-leaders of Double Vision, have a mark on the Austin jazz community as performers, composers and educators. Hehmsoth, a celebrated pianist and composer, and Mills, a flutist, saxophone and composer, are joined by bassist Utah Hamrick and drummer Aaron Easley.

The group is dedicated to transforming jazz into a vibrant, collaborative experience that inspires and connects audiences around the globe. Double Vision is supported by the H Project Performing Arts Association a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing the performing arts. 

Admission for the general public is $15. TXST faculty and staff admission is $10 and TXST students are free. Parking is available in the Edward Gary Street Garage. Tickets may be purchased online at txstatepresents.com 

About the Supple Music Series 
The Supple Music series was launched in 2003 by the late Texas State University President Jerry Supple and his wife Cathy. The program brings award-winning world-class performers to the campus, providing students, faculty, staff and community members with an intimate performing arts experience.
