Marketing’s Alkire, Fisk honored for best article of 2021 by Journal of Service Research

Linda Alkire, assistant professor in the Department of Marketing at Texas State University, and Raymond Fisk, professor in the Department of Marketing, have won the Journal of Service Research (JSR) 2021 Best Article Award for their paper on “Transformative Service Initiatives.”

Alkire and Fisk share the award with their co-authors, Silke Boenigk, Aaron A. Kreimer and Annika Becker, all of Universität Hamburg, Germany, and Sertan Kabadayi, of Fordham University, New York.

Each year, JSR selects an article published in the preceding year to receive the Best Article Award. A vote of the JSR associate editors was taken that considered all articles published in JSR in 2021, excluding editorials and authored by the editor-in-chief. The voting led to the identification of three finalist articles, from which the eventual winning article was selected.
