TXST President Kelly Damphousse named board chair of Pac-12 Board of Directors

TXST President Kelly Damphousse will serve as chair of the Pac-12 Board of Directors, helping guide conference governance and shape the future of the new Pac-12.

Texas State University President Kelly Damphousse, Ph.D., has been named the board chair of the Pac-12 Board of Directors for the 2026-27 academic year.

Colorado State University President Amy Parsons, J.D., will serve as vice chair. These positions will lead the executive committee of the Pac-12 Board of Directors. These positions are set for a one-year rotation, with future appointments and compositions to be announced at a later date.

I’m grateful for the confidence of my fellow presidents and excited to work alongside these visionary leaders as we build a conference focused on creating new opportunities for our student-athletes and our universities. Composed of presidents of Pac-12 member universities, the league’s Executive Committee of the Pac-12 Board of Directors will include a chair and vice chair among its board of directors, as well as one at-large position that will be appointed annually by the board, providing greater flexibility to address evolving governance matters while maintaining broad institutional perspectives among the committee.

The executive committee will work with conference leadership and provide a broad set of institutional perspectives and experiences to address a variety of evolving governance matters. Additionally, they will convene quickly to advise on pressing matters and serve to connect conversations across all administrative committees.
