TXST graphic design program ranked among top 50 nationally

Programs were evaluated across seven criteria, including academic reputation and employment data.

Texas State University has been included among the top graphic design programs nationally in the 2025 Graphic Design School Rankings released by Animation Career Review.

The TXST graphic design program, housed in the School of Art and Design, placed No. 46 in the 11th annual rankings. The program also garnered additional accolades:

  • No. 24 ranking nationally among public schools and colleges
  • No. 6 ranking in the Southwest
  • No. 3 ranking in Texas

Animation Career Review considered nearly 700 schools with graphic design programs from across the U.S. in preparing this year's rankings. Programs were evaluated across seven criteria, including academic reputation, employment data, admission selectivity, depth and breadth of the program, value as it relates to tuition and indebtedness, graduation rate and retention rate.
