SAN MARCOS –M. Alejandra Sorto, a professor in the Department of Mathematics at Texas State University and recipient of the 2020-2021 Graduate College Outstanding Mentor Award, will present the keynote address during the annual International Research for Graduate Students at Texas State, April 6-8.
The conference, co-sponsored by the Graduate College and Common Experience, will be held virtually through ForagerOne’s Symposium platform in an asynchronous format.
Sorto will deliver her keynote, "The Dynamic Role of Graduate Students in Advancing New Knowledge and Innovation," at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6. The talk also reflects Texas State’s 2020-2021 Common Experience theme, Dynamics.
More than 65 presentations were submitted by graduate students from various disciplines at Texas State and other institutions, showcasing their research in the form of electronic posters. E-poster presentations will be viewable at any time throughout the duration of the conference, and attendees will be able to engage with presenters through a comments feature.
Attendance is free and open to all Texas State students, faculty and staff, although advance registration is required through Symposium.
