Spring semester registration to open Oct. 19 for Texas State students

Jayme Blaschke, Media Relations | October 14, 2020

Registration for the spring semester at Texas State University will begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, for select groups.

Students’ spring time tickets are assigned based on classification (e.g., senior, junior) but also divided into time slots based on overall hours earned as of Sept. 28. Time tickets will not be adjusted based on any changes to a student’s classification or overall earned hours that occur after this date.

To find out what times a student qualifies for, students should log in to Texas State Self-Service where they can find additional information on time tickets. Students may view the academic calendar by visiting the Office of the University Registrar’s website.

  • Students experiencing a hold that is preventing registration should review these common holds and how to resolve them.
  • Students receiving an error message should learn what it means and what their options are for responding to it and registering.
  • The registration system may be unavailable at times. View the time ticket calendar for specific dates.
  • If students have any other questions or need assistance, they should call the CATS helpline at (512) 245-2367 or e-mail registrar@txstate.edu.

Bobcat Scheduler is now Bobcat Scheduling & Registration. Students can register or modify their schedules within the mobile-friendly application. Click the following link for a video and instructions on these new features: www.registrar.txstate.edu/registration/schedulebuilder.html; or log in to Texas State Self-Service to access it directly.
