Round Rock Campus hosts “Music In and For Aging” multimedia lecture

Joseph Kotarba, a professor of sociology and honorary professor internal studies in the College of Liberal Arts, will present “Music In and For Aging” at the Texas State University Round Rock Campus on Thursday, Feb. 13.
The Arts and Lecture Series event will be at 6:30 p.m. in Avery Building, Room 252. It is free and open to the public.
The recent and massive media coverage of and popular interest in the 50th anniversary of Woodstock is a dramatic example of the lasting impact the youth culture of the 1960s has on contemporary society. The multi-media presentation highlights Kotarba’s research on the role music continues to play in the everyday lives of the Baby Boom generation as they join the ranks of the elderly.
