Volunteers needed for 34th Annual Great Texas River Cleanup

SAN MARCOS – Students, faculty and staff at Texas State University are invited to volunteer at the the 34th Annual Great Texas River Clean Up on Saturday, March 2.

The event runs 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch and a free T-shirt.

Last year, more than a thousand volunteers helped clean the San Marcos River and surrounding tributaries. Information will be provided about how storm water runoff can negatively impact the area's waterways.

Volunteers are asked to sign up online at www.bit.ly/2U7IV8k and pick the watershed location they would like to help clean.
