Texas State University (TXST) Vice President for University Advancement Brooks Hull announced three new associate directors of development have joined the division.

Brianna Mendez has already joined the University Advancement team. Mike Jaworski and Amy Willson will assume their new roles June 3.

“We are delighted to welcome our new team of associate directors of development to Texas State University,” said Staci Cooper, executive director of development. “This initiative marks a significant step forward in connecting with alumni across the state. This talented team will focus on building strong, lasting relationships with our alumni, creating opportunities for them to engage with and support the university in various ways. I look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on our university community.”

Jaworski comes to TXST from United Protective Services where he served as Central Texas manager. He earned his M.S. in sports administration in 2010 and his B.S. in business administration in 2007, both from Northwestern State University.

“I am thrilled to be named the associate director of development at Texas State University and to join the Bobcat family,” Jaworski said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the University Advancement team and contribute to Texas State’s growth, community engagement and creation of impactful opportunities for students. Eat ’em up, Cats!”

Mendez comes to TXST from the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County where she served as leadership giving manager. A TXST alum, she earned her B.A. in communication design in 2019.

“I am thrilled to return to my alma mater,” Mendez said. “It feels like coming home but with a whole new adventure awaiting. I’m excited to contribute to the university that shaped me and be part of its ongoing journey.”

Willson comes to TXST from the University of Texas School of Law, where she most recently served as associate director of development. She earned her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2012 and her B.S. in business administration from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2009.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join the Texas State community,” Willson said. “I'm eager to support our students and faculty and amplify the impact of Texas State here in Central Texas and around the globe.”
