Texas State University leaps 575 spots in latest World University Rankings for International Students

TXST is ranked in the top 9% of the “Top 1000 World University Rankings” for 2025.
 

Texas State University climbed 575 spaces in Study Abroad Aide’s 2025 World University Rankings for International Students.

The rankings are specifically tailored for international students and offer a comprehensive and accurate assessment of global higher education institutions.

For the 2025 edition, TXST ranked No. 741 worldwide, marking the university’s first-time entry into the website’s “Top 1000 World University Rankings” and improving from a top 17% worldwide raking in 2024 to a top 9% global ranking for 2025. The improvement highlights TXST’s commitment to academic excellence and rising appeal to international students. This achievement is greatly beneficial to students looking for a high-quality institution abroad that caters to diverse communities and has proven global influence. 

This year’s edition expands upon the success of the previous year’s rankings by including universities from eight additional countries: Algeria, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Senegal, Kenya, Uganda, Egypt and Jordan, bringing the total number of ranked institutions to 8,536, up from 8,059 in the previous year.

To further enhance the accuracy of the rankings, Study Abroad Aide has refined its data collection and analysis processes by incorporating the latest ranking data from reputable third-party sources. This ensures that the rankings are based on the most up-to-date and reliable information available.
