Vaccinations Available for TXST Students – It’s your turn Bobcats!

Dr. Cynthia L. Hernandez, Vice President for Student Affairs | Sent to students on April 5, 2021

Dear Bobcats,

We are in the home stretch, just four weeks away from the end of the semester!  As some of you prepare for graduation, others are looking forward to returning to an in-person, campus life experience this fall.

To make sure you don’t miss class or other in-person events due to COVID-19, we encourage you to consider getting a COVID-19 vaccination. Any student over the age of 16 can get vaccinated at no cost at a Texas State University weekly vaccination event on our San Marcos Campus.  Plans are also being made to offer vaccinations on the Round Rock Campus.  Watch your official Texas State email for weekly invitations to register for a vaccination.

For more information about the vaccine, please visit the Student Health Center Vaccination Information website.

Getting vaccinated is a personal decision and I encourage you to learn about the benefits, such as no longer being required to be tested or to quarantine if you are exposed to a positive COVID-19 case.  Most importantly, getting vaccinated helps protect yourself and your family from serious disease.

It’s your turn, Bobcats!  Help our Texas State Community return to an active and vibrant university life this fall.
