The School of Music at Texas State University has been named one of the 25 best music programs in the nation by GradReports.com.

The School of Music was ranked No. 4 on the list of top bachelor’s degree programs.

The 25 schools on this list offer the top bachelor's degrees in music, based on median salary one year out of college. The rankings surveyed median early-career salary data of more than 5 million graduates. Tuition, median salaries and median debt were reported by the U.S. Department of Education. Schools were ranked in descending order of their graduates' median salary. When median salaries were equal, median debt was used to break ties. In its assessment of the School of Music, GradReports noted Texas State features two professional-quality venues and state-of-the-art production facilities, and that music students can choose from four bachelor’s degrees with a variety of minor concentrations available. Texas State also offers students the unique Bachelor of Science degree in Sound Recording Technology, which trains students in the recording industry field.
