Statement Regarding Water Access at Sterry Hall
March 1, 2020
From Eric Algoe, Vice President, Finance and Support Services, Texas State University
Due to a water line break that occurred last night on the San Marcos Campus, water to Sterry Hall has been turned off to repair the line.
Sterry Hall residents have been given access to restrooms and water in neighboring Lantana and Butler Halls. The university is providing bottled water to Sterry Hall residents, and additional hand sanitizer stations have been located throughout the building.
As repairs are made to restore water, Sterry Hall residents can request a temporary re-assignment to another hall by contacting their Sterry Hall RA.
An email was sent by the university to all Sterry Hall residents last night notifying them of the situation, and Texas State housing staff went door-to-door to talk with residents and answer any questions.
Repairs to the line are underway and further updates will be provided as more information is available.
We appreciate the patience of those impacted as we work to repair the line and restore water as quickly as possible.
