Ray Fisk receives Fulbright-Hanken Distinguished Chair appointment to Finland

Ray Fisk, a professor in the Department of Marketing at Texas State University, has received Fulbright-Hanken Distinguished Chair in Business and Economics 2020-2021.

Fisk will visit the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, Finland, for several months in fall 2020, where he will be working with the Centre for Relationship Marketing and Service Management (CERS) at Hanken.

Fisk’s academic host will be Kristina Heinonen, director of CERS. Fisk will conduct joint research with the marketing faculty and the CERS researchers on the topic of “Service Strategies for Societal Transformation.”

Fulbright distinguished chair awards are viewed as among the most prestigious appointments in the Fulbright Scholar Program. This is Fisk’s second Fulbright award. In 1987 he taught services marketing at Universität Klagenfurt in Klagenfurt, Austria.

The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and people of other countries. The program operates in more than 160 countries worldwide.
