Faculty honored with record-breaking number of Fulbright Scholar Awards

Yvonne Rhodes | August 15, 2018

Texas State University's Fulbright Scholar Program has set a record with six faculty members receiving scholar program grants this year. The six Fulbright Scholars will travel abroad in the 2018-2019 academic year to teach and conduct research at foreign universities in Europe, North Africa and Asia.

The number of Texas State Fulbright awards received this year matches that of national research universities including Johns Hopkins University and Columbia University.

The Fulbright program is administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars and is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government, designed to increase a mutual understanding between United States and other countries.
