On October 27, the deadliest anti-Semitic attack in U.S. history resulted in the death of 11 Jewish individuals and several more non-fatal injuries at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.

The Jewish Bobcats organization is hosting a Texas State Community Vigil for the victims of the Pittsburgh attack, Thursday, November 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sewell Park Pavilion on the San Marcos Campus.

According to the organization’s Facebook event, participants at the vigil are encouraged to share prayers, thoughts and be with one another in grief. All are welcome. The organization is also encouraging people to pledge a good deed in the memory of the victims at www.mitzvah4pittsburgh.com.

“Let us unite as one family and though our collective mitzvot bring comfort, peace and light to a shattered world.” – Rabbi Ari Weingarten, Jewish Bobcats
