Baseball team clinches Sun Belt Conference Championship

SAN MARCOS, Texas – A doubleheader sweep on Friday clinched the outright Sun Belt Conference regular season championship for the Texas State baseball team (36-18, 20-10 Sun Belt). The Bobcats defeated rival UT Arlington (31-24, 17-12 Sun Belt) 10-9 in game one and 13-11 in the second contest at Bobcat Ballpark to wrap up the regular season.
 
The regular season title is the first for TXST since joining the Sun Belt. It is also the first conference title in program history since 2011.
