Lattie appointed interim director of University Police Department

Captain Rickey Lattie has been appointed interim director of the Texas State University Police Department (UPD), following the resignation of Jose L. Bañales. Captain Lattie has been with UPD for 33 years and has served as UPD interim director on previous occasions.

The university will begin an immediate national search for the new director of police. I want to thank Captain Lattie for assuming these responsibilities during this transition, and I have full confidence in his ability to lead the University Police Department during this period.
