Application deadline extended for Free College Prep Summer Camp

SAN MARCOS – The Center for P-16 Initiatives at Texas State University has extended the application deadline for the 2018 College Access Project (C.A.P.) Summer Leadership Camp to June 1.

Area high school students who will be entering their junior or senior year in fall 2018 are eligible to apply for this free four-day camp, held June 5-8, at the Texas State campus in San Marcos.

C.A.P. Camp is designed to help students successfully navigate the college application process and gain the knowledge they need to be accepted into the college or university of their choice. The camp provides students formal instruction and professional guidance on topics such as financial aid, the Texas Common Application, writing the college admissions essay, resume building, effective interview strategies, SAT/ACT preparation and what to expect as a college freshman.
