Production of 'Zu's Earth' explores ideas of ancestry in wake of death

SAN MARCOS – The Texas State University Department of Theatre and Dance will stage Zu’s Earth, written by graduate student Sidney Rushing, March 22-25.
Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. March 22-24, with a 2 p.m. matinee March 25. Performances will be in the Performing Arts Center.
Set in 1970s Mississippi, Zu’s Earth follows the story of Chili Mac, who tries to discover the truth of his ancestry in the wake of his father’s death. The play is under the direction of Isaac Byrne.
