SAN MARCOS – The graduate program in Criminal Justice at Texas State University has been named among the Best Grad Schools in Criminology for 2018 by U.S. News and World Report.
Criminology programs combine principles of sociology, law and psychology to prepare students to deal with criminals, understand the justice system and work to prevent crime. Texas State was ranked 29th nationally in the U.S. News ranking system.
Rankings of doctoral programs in the social sciences and humanities are based solely on the results of peer assessment surveys sent to academics in each discipline. U.S. News conducted the survey of doctoral programs in criminology and criminal justice in fall 2017.
