Texas State's Murray receives CASE Distinguished Achievement Award

SAN MARCOS – Laura S. Murray, director of development in the Division of University Advancement at Texas State University, has been honored with the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District IV Distinguished Achievement Award.
Murray received the award during the Case District IV Annual Conference in Fort Worth. The CASE District IV Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals who make significant contributions to the advancement profession, both by service to their institution and volunteer service to CASE and CASE District IV.
Murray has been an active CASE volunteer for more than 16 years. She is currently a District IV board member, and has served as the CASE District IV conference committee track chair in 2007, 2010 and 2014. She won the CASE Red Apple award for presentation in 2013. In 2012, Murray served as faculty for the New Professionals conference. Also in 2012, she received the CASE Award for Annual Giving Brochure for the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Murray came to Texas State in 2016 and serves as the major gift officer for North Texas and Oklahoma, as well as liaison to the College of Education, College of Liberal Arts and the Graduate College. Prior to her arrival at Texas State, Murray spent seven years at UTSA, three years at the University of Texas at Dallas and four years at the University of Texas at Austin, where she distinguished herself by performing at a high level in most every facet of higher education fundraising and development.
