Meadows Center hosts Independence Day celebration at Spring Lake

SAN MARCOS – The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University will host a Fourth of July tour and fireworks viewing party at Spring Lake for guests of all ages to enjoy a unique, fun-filled celebration of American independence.
The program will include:
- Sunset Glass-Bottom Boat Cruises | July 4, 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Spring Lake is even more majestic when experienced at sunset. Hop aboard a historic glass-bottom boat to enjoy views of the sun setting over Spring Lake. This exclusive, evening tour will offer visitors a rare opportunity to see the aquatic wildlife that emerge after sunset. Upgrade to a VIP ticket and receive a complimentary adult beverage during the tour. Tours will start at 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. - Fireworks Viewing Party on Rooftop | July 4, 8:30-10:30 p.m.
Head upstairs to The Meadows Center’s rooftop for an exclusive view of the San Marcos Fireworks Show from The Meadows Center’s rooftop and watch the fireworks glow against the crystal clear waters of Spring Lake. Snacks and refreshments will be available. The sunset glass-bottom boat cruise packages guarantees a spot on the roof. For those not purchasing a boat cruise ticket package, a $5 suggested admission for the rooftop viewing will be available for purchase at the door. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair.
