‘Ajax in Iraq’ explores struggle of soldiers trying to make sense of war

Texas State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present Ajax in Iraq October 31-November 6 as part of the Common Experience.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. October 31-November 5, with two matinee showings November 5-6 at 2 p.m. All shows will take place at the Theatre Center Mainstage.
The play follows the storylines of Ajax, the Greek hero, and A.J., a modern female American soldier, both undone by the betrayal of a commanding officer. Inspired by interviews conducted with Iraq war veterans and their families, the play was written by Ellen McLaughlin. It is directed by Rocky Hopson.
