Texas State hosts international scholars for C.S. Lewis lecture series

The Texas State University Department of Communication Studies will present a public lecture series on “C.S. Lewis and Communication” March 29-April 5. 

C.S. Lewis, author of The Chronicles of Narnia, The Screwtape Letters and The Four Loves, is among the most popular authors of the 20th century. The lecture series explores Lewis’s skill as an author and speaker and his insights about interpersonal relationships and implicit communication.

Lewis scholar and author Andrew Lazo will present the first two lectures, “C.S. Lewis and Relationships: The Four Loves,” at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, and Thursday, March 31, both in LBJ Student Center room 3-10.1. 

The third lecture in the series,  “C.S. Lewis and Implicit Communication,” will be presented by Oxford University and Cambridge University author, scholar and educator Michael Ward at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, in LBJ Student Center room 4-1.6.  

“Both of these lecturers are internationally recognized for their expertise about C.S. Lewis,” said lecture series coordinator Steven Beebe. “This is a wonderful opportunity to hear excellent speakers share insights about one of the 20th century’s most famous authors.”
