The new issue of Hillviews is now available in print and digital format. The app can be downloaded on smart phones, tablets or e-readers.
The digital issue is available for free at www.ua.txstate.edu/campus-connections/hillviews.html.
The focus of the issue – Road to Research – is on the Graduate College and the Honors College and what it means to Texas State as it moves along a path to Tier One designation. Featured programs include the new M.S. in Dementia and Aging, the Ph.D. program in geography Ph.D., the graduate degree in child life specialization, and the master’s in legal studies that prepares students to be paralegals.
In alumni profiles meet singer/songwriter Randy Rogers, a journalism and mass communication graduate, whose career has taken him to the Grand Ole Opry; Mark Swingler, a business graduate who makes his living as a rodeo barrelman; and Jenna Quinn, who turned a love of football into a job with the Houston Texans. Meet Eric Algoe and Ken Pierce, two new vice presidents who joined the university last year.
Lady Bird: First Lady of the Land, is an opera written especially for Texas State music students who performed it in April (just in time for bluebonnets on the highway) at the Performing Arts Center.
Hillviews, published three times a year, is distributed to members of the Alumni Association and the Family Association. The digital edition – with additional content – is available for free to everyone.
