Wittliff Collections hosts National Book Award-winning poet Szybist

Award-winning poet Mary Szybist will hold a book signing February 4 at the Wittliff Collections at Texas State University and another February 5 at the Katherine Anne Porter Literary Center in Kyle.
The Wittliff signing will be at 3:30 p.m. and the the Katherine Anne Porter signing will be at 7:30 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
Szybist’s first book, Granted, won the 2004 Great Lakes Colleges Association New Writers Award. She has also received the National Book Award for Poetry for her second book, Incarnadine, along with a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award and a Pushcart Prize. Szybist’s work has been featured in the Iowa Review, the Denver Quarterly and in Best American Poetry. She is an English professor at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
