Beer and wine sales to begin at baseball, softball home games

Beer and wine sales will begin this month at Texas State University baseball and softball events, the university has announced.

“This is an added service for our fans to enhance their stadium experience,” said Texas State Director of Athletics Dr. Larry Teis. “Nearly all Sun Belt Conference universities already sell alcohol at athletic events, as do many Division 1 schools in Texas.”

Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the Bobcat Baseball/Softball Complex starting February 12, when the Bobcat softball team opens its season. Sales will begin at Bobcat baseball games on February 19, when Texas State hosts Washington State.

Following the spring 2016 season, the university will review the service and determine future plans.
