The Graduate College and Career Services at Texas State University will host the Graduate and Professional School Fair Monday, February 15 in the LBJ Student Center.
The fair will run from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and is free and open to students.
The Graduate and Professional School Fair provides prospective students with an opportunity to meet and interact with graduate advisors from various schools and departments across the university and to explore Texas State's 100 master's and doctoral programs.
Approximately 40 universities from Texas and beyond will also participate. This will provide undergraduate students the chance to shop for programs not offered by Texas State, or to compare programs offered by different universities. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about financial aid and standardized tests.
In addition to discovering more about graduate studies, students can also learn best practices in application submission, strategies to achieve successful scores in the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), and financing options for graduate education. Information sessions will be held in LBJ Student Center room 3-14.1. A graduate information session will be 10:30-11 a.m.; GRE strategy session, 11:30 a.m.-noon, graduate application process, 12:30-1 p.m.; graduate information session (honors students only), 1-1:30 p.m.; financing graduate education, 2-2:30 p.m.; campus tour, 2:30 p.m.
