Due to the continuing potential for severe weather, Texas State University has cancelled all classes for the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses for Saturday, October 31.
The Student Recreation Center and the LBJ Student Center will be open as usual. For other scheduled activities such as performing arts, athletics, etc., please check the relevant department's web page for updates.
Due to the number of barricaded and impassable roads resulting from recent flooding, Texas State shuttle service will not run Saturday, October 31.
The Central Texas area will continue to experience severe weather through Saturday, so please continue to monitor weather conditions and avoid areas with water in the road ways.
Anyone who has not yet registered their cell phone number for emergency text alerts is encouraged to do so now by accessing the following link: www.emergencyinfo.txstate.edu.
As always, Texas State faculty members, staff members and students should exercise their own best judgment regarding the safety of their travel based on their local conditions. Pay attention to local media outlets and www.txstate.edu, the university's website, for additional updates on the university's operational schedule.
