Betrayal, revenge mark Texas State production of Euripedes' 'Medea'

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas State University will present Euripedes' Medea March 5-8 in the PSH Foundation Studio Theatre, located in the Theatre Center on campus.

Performances will be 7:30 p.m. March 5-7 with an additional 2 p.m. matinee March 8.

Directed by Amelia Bahr, the ancient Greek tragedy is based upon the myth of Jason and Medea. After betraying her family and country for her captivating but arrogant husband Jason, Medea takes her revenge against him when Jason abandons her and their sons for power and a younger woman.
