Award-winning poet Heather Christle to read at Wittliff Collections

Award-winning author and poet Heather Christle will visit Texas State University for a book reading, question and answer session and signing at the Wittliff Collections Feb. 12 at 3:30 p.m. and at the Katherine Anne Porter Literary Center in Kyle February 13 at 7:30 p.m.

The events are free and open to the public.

Christle is the author of three poetry collections: What is Amazing, The Difficult Farm and The Trees The Trees, which won the 2012 Believer Poetry Award. Her poems have appeared in the Boston Review, Gulf Coast, The New Yorker and The Best American Poetry. She has taught poetry at Antioch College, Sarah Lawrence College, the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Emory University, where she was the 2009-2011 Poetry Writing Fellow. She is the Web editor for jubilat and frequently a writer in residence at the Juniper Summer Writing Institute. A native of Wolfeboro, N.H., she lives in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

The event at is part of the Lindsey Literary Series and is sponsored by the Department of English at Texas State, the Burdine Johnson Foundation and the Wittliff Collections.
