Texas Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Donna Vandiver, associate professor and interim doctoral program director in the School of Criminal Justice, to the Task Force on Improving Outcomes for Juveniles Adjudicated of Sexual Offenses.
Vandiver was asked to be on the task force based on the research she is currently conducting, which assesses the effects of sex offender registration laws across multiple states, as well as other research she has conducted on juveniles. The appointment will last one year.
The Task Force on Improving Outcomes for Juveniles Adjudicated of Sexual Offenses was created under House Bill 1144, which was enacted during the 84th legislative session.
